When it comes to kids' access to health care in Florida, the state ranks dead last -- after all of the other 49 states and the District of Columbia, according to a recent study by the Commonwealth Fund. - The Miami Herald, June 8, 2008

Join Project YAY*, Youth Advocating for Youth, for a town hall meeting about improving the state of health care programs and services for children in Florida. Health and human services consultant Linda Merrell will lead the discussion.

Project YAY wants to hear about your experiences so that together we can work to address some of the barriers families face accessing health care. Come share and learn how Florida KidCare is impacting children in our community, what kinds of solutions are being proposed, and what you can do to get involved in making improvements to the system.

*Project YAY is an initiative of the Human Services Coalition, Florida CHAIN and Florida Child Health Care Coalition. Project YAY is funded by the Health Foundation of South Florida.
